It seems odd that you would need to have a stereo sound. Surely the game engine only has to pan mono sounds as it needs to, to produce stereo effects. Pre-stereo-ised sounds would therefore be pointless? Totally agree with 44100/16bit, that's CD quality after all. Anything higher than 44100Hz or 16b...

Anyone notice the press release announcing another DoW expansion, including two new races, one of which is the Tau. Apparently Silo is good for high poly too. I tried to create a Thousand Sons Chaos Space Marine, but after modelling just the head and egyptian style head dress thing, I had over a 1000 polys. After a second attempt I managed to get it down to 300, but still just his head... Wings is around 3MB down...

also are we still pursuing that whole infantry as a squad thing? cause as true to Epic as it maybe we can always just lose that i idea and make individual infantry units (cause to be really true to Epic our MBTs would have to be in squadrons of three or so tanks). and that would simplify things alo...

I can't recommend the Netepic gallery enough for source material when modelling. All the stats are on Netepic under the various army lists. Of course there are different rule sets there too... In Epic the imperator had a hellstorm cannon and a plasma annihilator. You had no choice about weapons. Ala...

like benito suggested don't add the outer turrets (the one on each corner) of the castle. how ever the one on the waist and backside of the unit would be nice. also can anyone say (benito if u know) whether the defense laser on the top is AA?? Sorry should have been clearer, I wasn't suggesting not...

Ooh, cool, the new model format has been released. Looks like we need a new excuse not to do anything ;) I think I'll have a go at writing a Silo plugin to export to the new format. Although with the imminent release of Silo 2, I'm not sure how productive that would be, as it'll have a whole new SDK...

Well at first glance, you aren't waiting for the turn to complete or returning 1 (or true) at the end of both the bolter aimweapon3/4 scripts. Is it me or is the lascannon not turning either? Not sure what's causing that... The best way of debugging weapons is to go into FPS mode and watch the model...

Well I've almost finished the Reaver titan, just a few details needed, but with over 600 faces already it doesn't need many more... http://www.guildfordbasketball.com/ryan/reaver.jpg And yes, the barrels on the Gatling Cannon do spin... The Baneblade is the best example of fire arcs with seven guns....

I've updated the existing units to use the additional weapon points and fire arcs that were added in v0.63. It simplifies the scripting by an unbelieveable amount. Hmmm, not worked on this for a while, my Reaver is still only half complete (no legs!). Instead I have been working on a plugin for Silo 1.4 that allows you to save as a 3DO file. You can get it from Fileuniverse.
