Re: Slippery slopes and intuitive games

That is a good point. Of course there is that fact that the current spring engine does not simulate a lot of the events that we call luck in real life (for example small terrain effects). I think however the bigger issue is (as you said) that unpredictability would make the game frustrating. At the ...

Re: Slippery slopes and intuitive games

I play a lot of Warhammer (WH), which manages to mostly avoid a slippery slope type of game. It is turn based tactics rather than real time strategy but it's not unusual for a player to win a game after one or more bits of bad luck or mistakes, and I think many of the mechanisms that create that are...

Just to address the original point, I may not have an amazing APM but in most team com-ends games (of AA/BA) where my comm's about to die I've got the reflexes to go crt+a, h and give all my crap to someone else (I'd guess it takes all of 2-3 seconds). So for me personally, barring inattention and s...

lol, who actually has time to play all these games. It's ironic really, when I was 13 I had all the time in the world to play games but no money to buy them. Now I have money but no time :(

Oh and Snipa, you might consider yourself hardcore but are you elite?

I like Braindamage's idea. I mean it needs to all be there (SP, maps and AI in particular) or else it won't work. But if it can be made to work it'll be like browsing gamemaker games or whatnot.

I've still got exams, and even if people at uni have finished they're probably 'celebrating' with plenty of alcohol.

Teamspeak improves team games. FACT.

So yeah, it would be quite cool if there was a general spring server.

It sounds like you've wrapped up about 5 mtr's at once. Well done 8)

As for suggestions I would imagine poeople would like the ability to customise the interface (graphically) based upon their mod.

Ok I'm not 100% sure on this (especially since I can't seem to find a propper top down view) but I think that Guessmynames Leman Russ is too thin.
As I said I'm not certain but it's been bugging me every time I see it.

I think you forgot to mirror something,
not that I mean to keep nit picking or anything :P

edit: Actually now that I'm looking for it most of your models are mirrored so I guess you're waiting to fix that once you've got some textures.

You realise you're missing two key soviet units Flag Carrier - Inspires troops and gets shot at Commisar - Shoots retreating troops It's a good thing you decided to share your unit lists with us so we could pick up on things like this before it's too late. OK more seriously this mod is looking to be...
