The movement of the actual mech models verses their script speeds is off, making it awkward. Basiclly all the mech scripts speeds need to be adjusted speed wise.

Bob,

Since it normally takes forever to train a guy to be ready to fulfill his office in the military, why not make them take forever to build, or as you mentioned, a sleep time after every group of 5 units built or so.

My 2 cents: Nuke the water and crank up the wind speed so it is more of a desolate wasteland instead. One devoid of resources, plant life, well as a matter of fact devoid of life period (except for the few ├óÔé¼┼ôcracked├óÔé¼┬Ø territorial warlords fighting over mounds of rock and sand). And maybe a...

Do you mean 16bit grayscale bitmap? The answer would be no. The Gimp does not yet support 16 bit per channel images. I think one of the only image programs that does besides terrian generators like LD3T, Terragen, is Adobe Photoshop.

Total side note: LDD is made by Qubesoft (who originally made direct 3d, but now work exclusively in OpenGL) using their completely OpenGL fully customizable engine that requires no hard coding, just adding components. Apparently there is a Maya & 3DS Max plug-in imbedded in it so there is a pos...

The metal color for the sholders and upper leg is light silverish grey, not blue-grey. And the skirt is dark silverish grey. Us the Cavedog renders to properly match the colors. Otherwise good work so far.

Nice try, not happening very easily. The only way to export from GMAX is using game packs, then you have to convert that model format to obj or 3ds. Sorry, but its the truth.

Its not your fault. When jcnossen made Upspring, he used import/export code from Blender which may not be an industry standard code format, and thus won't work properly.

I'm sorry I know this is a model competition, but this needs to be said. The amount of polygons a model has is directly related to amount of GPU processing capacity required to render them in game. Thus the more you have on a model, the more processing power need to display it. Now in the instance o...

since there isn't any flexable parts being used yet, scripting will just involve time. True you could break up a hose peice into sections and animate its movement, but the time required wouldn't be worth the final product. I had debated about using 3do files, but I realized that after awhile you wou...
