Re: Capturing video content, improve performance
I had recent success with CamStudio Recorder and their lossless codec, capturing 720p content with only minor stutter. The downside is that youtube really destroys the picture quality for this type of high-action content. It is hard to believe it was originally uploaded as a 400MB lossless AVI. I gu...
Re: NOTA 1.80
NOTA has multithreading (ASIM) support which spring 96.0 does not implement. 94 will therefore offer a better gaming experience, and remember that you can have 94 and 96 installed at the same time.
Also try Google for "NOTA 1.80+".

Re: CRNfix Engine Version: better late game performance
Yeah, less than 2 fps per second, but it does not count as Sim time so none of my benchmarks would be affected. Also, MT engine would not gain anything from this fix.

Re: CRNfix Engine Version: better late game performance
Replays are useful for benchmarking if and only if they are correctly designed for the task and the engines being compared are similar enough. Smoth: This CRNfix is nice but does not affect any benchmarking results. Stutter and simulation speed are not even related. I'd recommend you to be more care...

Re: Red Annihilation
Yeah, there are lots of things that could be improved. I was a bit reluctant to make automation widgets for the mining because it would still be hard to offer the same degree of flexibility as you get with a manually configured command chain. The cloaked arm mex is still a mex (although it stops ore...

Re: Why single thread is en of spring for me
you have to alter the structure of all gadgets ... you will have to update it each release of the mod (Sigh) Wrong! You update all gadgets that access SYNCED.xxx , and you do it only once . After the update, the gadgets are compatible with both multithreaded and singlethreaded engines. Example: Zer...

I take no responsibility for the awkward performance of ST (single threaded) Spring, it is completely outdated.

Re: [Request]ffa 94
Well, you are excused. Games that support MT have LuaThreadingModel > 2 in modrules.lua. http://springrts.com/wiki/Asynchronous_Simulation FLOZi, is not my server, and it has no connections to me whatsoever. It was started by some french guys and I don't know them. If you continue to evade the word ...

You are absolutely right, because S44 does not support MT. Please try with a game that does support MT, such as BA 7.83.FLOZi wrote:S44 8 vs 8 on Nuclear Winter... and MT seemed to be no different.

Re: [Request]ffa 94
Albator, I don't think anyone would play even if such a server was installed. The reason is that the lobby server is Spring 95, and the average user thinks that latest is greatest, and would also have some difficulty playing because SpringLobby is lacking multiversion support.

You are misinformed, for more than a year spring-multithreaded has been "compatible" in the sense that you only have to rewrite lua if you want the added performance.smoth wrote:you tried to force a change on the content devs
