Re: RIP BA

< 104 contained a DOS exploit for one thing

And that's the thing about nicknames, they can change *mind BLOWN*

Edit: @cgh , that wasn't aimed at you, it was aimed at Adolf, Ares, etc.

Re: RIP BA

You guys realize that it would only take like a day to make it 104 ready... Isn't phoenix annihilation 104 ready? Wasn't that Ares grand plan to wrest BA from the clutches of those evil evil doers? What happened to that? If PA is 104 compatible, play that instead? Also, regarding dead projects, it w...

Please avoid making posts which belittle other users and offer no constructive response. (Silentwings) 1. I didn't belittle anyone. Your post dismisses the concerns of the OP as unimportant / non-existent. This is belittling to the user and their concerns. Avoid doing so. Take requests from moderat...

Re: steering wheel to left and right with bos/cob file

Yes, heading is one of the arguments in your wheelcontrol() function, so you should be able to use turn wheel to heading.

Just make sure that earlier in the function you have limited the angles.

You can't scare me with this Gestapo crap. I know my rights. I want my phone call. Who you gonna call exactly? zerver? If you have his number yes. His version had like 10x better performance than anything i saw here Oh sweet summer child. Zerver was the one with the Grand Master plan to remove lua,...

Re: steering wheel to left and right with bos/cob file

Upon further reading of OP, perhaps I should state it thusly... While limiting the angle will look pretty silly when the unit pulls a hard turn, limiting the angle is as simple as: if heading > x heading = y end I can't remember if spring angles use negative numbers (I should know this but it escape...

Re: steering wheel to left and right with bos/cob file

Surely there's a way to get around those problems that you've listed? Absolutely! Because you're going to get stuck in an arbitrary turnrate that can't be exceeded otherwise what is in your graphic happens. And if you decide to limit it to a certain angle, then it's just going to look silly turning...

Re: steering wheel to left and right with bos/cob file

Doing this is one of those things that "Sounds cool" but in practice sucks. Why? Because you're going to get stuck in an arbitrary turnrate that can't be exceeded otherwise what is in your graphic happens. And if you decide to limit it to a certain angle, then it's just going to look silly turning f...

Re: When can we talk about spring's loading problems (On Windows)?

Thank you <3

I don't think building an sdz after every commit is very likely a realistic option for most of us, but your post lays it all out perfectly. I actually really appreciate it, thank you :-)

Re: When can we talk about spring's loading problems (On Windows)?

I think you are misunderstanding me. My contention is not that ignoring.git will magically solve everything and deal with global climate change, only that it would help significantly. Do you disagree with the hypothesis that ignoring .git would produce significant improvements (on windows)? Regardin...

When can we talk about spring's loading problems (On Windows)?

I've brought this up before, but I always get piled on with a ton of ... fanboi-ism? Isn't it time that we admit that spring offline loading has issues and something needs to be done? The issue, as I see it is as follows: 1. Spring server requires games to be in github root on master branch because ...

Re: Energy economy and making it more meaningful

that is exactly the result. Players don't understand why their energy bar is always full much less why they needed and then all of a sudden it's randomly empty and then it fills back up and then it's empty again. It's an interesting concept but there just isn't any good way to show that via the UI. ...

It sounds much cooler in theory than it actually is in practice. The current way that energy is used is far superior in pretty much every single way.

Re: License Question?

I have no control over what any code is licensed under. That is strictly controlled by the engine. You'll find that most spring projects have parts that are under several licenses that cover various parts. The artwork, on the other hand, is a very different matter. If you don't want me to use it in ...

Re: License Question?

Honestly, I don't know how I am supposed to be remotely happy about this. I have poured 10 years of my life into creating Evo, in many cases spending 40 hours a week working on it, iteration after iteration. You know, everything used to be under a super restrictive license just so someone couldn't c...
