Re: Game crashes with error: "Access violation"

Try putting this in your springsettings.cfg : 3DTrees = 0 AdvMapShading = 0 AdvUnitShading = 0 GroundDecals = 0 ReflectiveWater = 2 Shadows = 0 Add all the values missing and modify those already in. had today the same trouble with ati on a intel system, adv mapshading, unit shading , 3d trees und ...

Re: Engine Testing - 97.0.1-206-g8576ee8 (06. Aug 2014)

97.0.1-206-g8576ee8 is still release candidate? Some ATI AMD gpu users have trouble with tiling on map. There are also some issues with resistant settings like fullscreen to zero, had to paste a line into .cfg. That springlobby(v0.196) inside ignore every path change of .exe and unitsync(remains emp...

I think the trenches are drawn, the mt wasnt welcome and the fork goes its own routes. Dont try to revive an undead.

Re: How do I run Spring in -i (isolation) exactly ?

i got it; thx to zerver! :-)
@echo OFF
start c:\Users\...\spring.exe script.txt --isolation
make sure that your lobby config is into same folder like the .exe and set the right pathes into it for 96.0 or delete them. Next upcoming MT already included isolation-mode.

Re: How do I run Spring in -i (isolation) exactly ?

create a batch file into same folder of your .exe or set a path @echo OFF start spring.exe --isolation or @echo OFF start [path]spring.exe --isolation and link the path of the batchfile into your lobby preference. But it seems thats not really possible, springlobby ignored this option. if you start ...

Re: Prevent stuff from being written to My Documents

iam a player and i try to use different springlobby´s. its annoying to make for every engine version, game, videorecording, benchmark a new setup. iam also mostly ati user and each game have different gfx issues on it. there should be a easy way for users to handle it, springlobby is in fact no stea...

Re: Capturing video content, improve performance

i tried it with different settings which can be adjusted with obs. nothing really helped until higher bitrate. my last satisfactory try was with 15k (kb/s) on 720p, the result was ~50mb for a 1 minute video. seems, such high resolution isnt suitable for me with my low bandwidth.

Re: NOTA 1.80

You´re talking about 96 as if it was an evolution in comparison to 94. But 96=94 with some experimental blingbling crap for nvidia and a folder restructuring that sucks with portable versions. And btw, since when is solitaire a engine?^^

every new lua is a bad idea. so many games f****d by ugly lua-coding. this makes the list of banned lua by manual only longer

code won't write itself... Well, thats the run of things. You cannot coding it, even me, thats clear :) But there is no reason to start with “no one has interest to...” Zerver had already interest as the first press releases came out. So there is a tiny chance... but who ll know it. Otherwise his E...

disable all widgets and activate only these that you think that you really need, maybe you dont hit that one that caused that droppes. too much spam of same unit can be also a factor, try this first by wait command.

before you consider about such waste of resources, plz purge the unmitigated project or we can read it on wikipedia into future like that crap: SCOvsLinux or on many other countries SCOgegenLinux its like to open Pandoras box. Your statement doesn't parse. But in case you didn't know, shortly after one of those failed propaganda attempts, rtpms.com had its dns cloaked, and i can't imagine any other reason why.

the result of ddos attacks IMHO

Re: Why single thread is en of spring for me

One of the reasons that BA runs like shit is because they refuse to use anythign but the default engine explosion effects, crippling any poor bastard that forgot to turn his particle settings down below 5k. I dont think so, the default settings quite lower. but he prefers to hold them hostage and i...

Re: Why single thread is en of spring for me

Spring 96 is multithreaded. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thread_pool_pattern This contradicts with the statement not to waste resources for multithreading. - MTsim development should be stopped as it still blocks other improvements and slows down general development Now 3 engine devs instea...
