I say his contributions to the project deserve to have him there for all eternity. With a 'retired' flag, of course.
Sad to see you go... Spring devs are a finite resource, maybe I should consider spending a few years learning how Spring works to help out.

Most likely because it was the demo. You'll have to buy the full version, you can get the link from the Home of the Underdogs (http://www.the-underdogs.info, I think).

Started off intense, just bombarding the senses with Springy goodness. The unfocusing chemical transitions made my eyes water though; as a short-sighted person I'm all too familiar with poor focus. It fizzled off a bit towards the end. It started on a high and then climbed down, you'd have been bett...

Erom: We care out of respect for the original designers of TA, without whom Spring would not have been possible. Zoombie: No burning at the stake please. Min3mat: Whether or not Noize shared my stance had no impact on my decision, and while I can't speak for everyone else I'm pretty confident that t...

You are the commander. As Core you are NOT Central Consciousness, they are who you receive your orders (read: missions) from. Also you are a shrewd tactician (from the TA Manual; also the only personality comment in TA for either commander). As Arm you are not a clone like everyone else. You are the...

True. However, it would be worth it. And yes, I have taken commercial games as examples, yet the 'campaign mode' is an extended tutorial, storyline extender and playability duration expander impossible to equal. I'm not kidding, either, I'd be spending all my time building scenarios if the functiona...

Single player campaigns are only worth it if it is very easy to make. You assume far too much in that statement. OTA's campaign was hard to make. StarCraft's campaign was hard to make. WarCraft's campaign was hard to make. Dune and Dune II? HARD. I see a pattern here. But having played most of thes...

In the meantime, why not just remove the fancy edge texturing so overlap is a matt grey on grey? The whole idea started from a potential Dune mod in which concrete would be underneath all buildings. The only reason we see overlap is because of the contrast between edges. Used right this is a neat li...

Here's a quick note on the things I think AAI could use. Max Interval Between Attacks - if you set AAI's groupsize to a skyhigh value it takes ages building up its forces before attacking, leaving ample time to porc. Min Interval Between Attacks - so AAI does not exhaust its economy. Min Groupsize F...
