Re: Forum syntax hightlighting
Will do, I'll have a more thorough look into it. Out of curiosity, is test.springrts.com always kept up to date with the github?

Thanks for the links, and I guess never mind this thread. I'm glad to see a ' +1 ' is in the pipes too.

Forum syntax hightlighting
Since I didn't see a specific place for requests to phpbb code I'm putting this here: I'd just like to see what other's thoughts were on adding syntax highlighting to the forum with something like codebox plus where you can specify the language in the code tag such as . My personal opinion is that i...

Re: Is there a "lobby like" application for creating script.txt files?
There is various lua scripts floating around that have the necessary functions to build a script from easy to manage lua tables, chili UI etc.. and relaunch spring with said script. None of them are really in a released state but they could no doubt do what you want with some coaxing. Though like me...

Re: TDF deprecation, map recompilation
Which I'm assuming only requires a somewhat simple change to the unitsync lib, and for nostalgia purposes an old engine/game could be used to still play them. I agree with Forb; the active community would update any maps it deems worthy, and anyone coming back will more than likely stick with what t...

I looked more thoroughly into it and any performance impact is very negligible, but I'd still like something with more consistent results so I'll take your snippet and head to wiki!

help with scrolling title
So if you've played BAR you might have noticed the scrolling song titles in the upper right hand corner. Now, I'm looking for a better way to implement them than how it is currently. local function scrollName() local length = string.len(trackLabel) if length > 35 then if labelVar > length then label...

Re: Ludum Dare 35
I can be self-admittedly flaky so I make no promises but I would definitely like to help out where I can. As far as preparing for 101/102 or general skeletongame features/bugs go, does that need to wait for the "prep day" or is it an anytime before thing? PS I'm "Lebdooder" on gi...

Re: Those of you who don't use Lobbies, How do you Launch Spring?
How does one setup the script.txt to host bots on a clients computer? Is it possible? If this was possible then every player could connect with his own altered script.txt and add lots of bots to his team or give himself more startresources or whatever. Maybe this is the wrong interruption of his qu...

Re: Status on BAR + repo links
Honestly, the repo/SVN has been working just fine for the small group that's been working on it so far. Still, I wouldn't mind using github merely for the fact of one less account/site to keep track of but I'm pretty sure Mr.Bobs models, and probably more, are the reason it is where it is. As far as...

Re: Status on BAR #2
Sorry I haven't really been around to help, especially since I was probably the cause of quite a few of the icon/ui issues  ; a series of fortunate events has kept me away from any hobby work for longer than I'd hoped. It's awesome to see you making progress with it though. If anyone has some ...

Re: (in-) engine menu
Sorry, I just meant the infolog you put up there was helpful; not that I still needed it. From looking at it earlier it seems to confirm what gajop said. I get into the archive for info from the mapinfo.lua but it appears an archive it thought was a map did not contain it. Not sure if this is becaus...

Re: (in-) engine menu
Hey sorry guys, been away for a while. I'll get my environment back up and running so I can test with new spring and also fix said issue. As far as starting it goes, it is just a standard game archive like any other (needs map, players, etc.. ) . If it isn't launching it's likely an issue and the in...

Re: infologs.springrts.com
@Funken: have you looked at the replay site recently? There is already a link to map and game right there. I didn't mean those should be added; I meant that they would be useful, as they are already there; and it would be nice if besides game and map, it could have infolog (lua could parse out any ...

Re: infologs.springrts.com
@Jools, I'm guessing gajop is (maybe?) thinking about writing some lua that would upload the infologs; but first, he wants to know if there is a service that exists to upload them to . Whether or not that's the case, you're focusing on the wrong aspect. It would be nice if infologs were intertwined ...

Re: Most idiot proof way to install and play on linux?
Use the portable builds here, not the site. Browsers declared war on java a long time ago, making accessing weblobby with a browser rather difficult: Yeah it was always a pain dealing with Java; but, http://weblobby.springrts.com/ is just a portal to the downloads and github page now, with some scr...

Re: Most idiot proof way to install and play on linux?
You can head here http://weblobby.springrts.com/ and get weblobby. It's cross platform and will automatically download engines/games/maps as you need them.
