Re: [misc] automatic reboots of springrts.com at 10 am GMT+1 (when needed)
Since you seem to run APT based distro, why not use live kernel updates?

Re: bitcoin in 2021
For spring there already is/was a BTC wallet but seems not used anymore: http://bitref.com/1Fkh88PPvCYgZxR2gfEGPxNQJ5hZxqVFhn Also anyone interested in the more complex operations of trading I would strongly suggest to first try with simulated money. For example on testnet.bitmex.com Where did you ...

Re: bitcoin in 2021
Don't worry, at this point the knowledge is pretty universal so i don't need to advocate for something i find new and exciting. Now we can just take what i said back then as a fact, and perhaps look forward into how to integrate it's use as it's not so controversial any longer. If arguments cannot s...

bitcoin in 2021
how many of you guys did read my previous threads here recommending you invest in bitcoin, i tried to make my contribution to this community but those threads got locked by mods (in off topic category!), but now we are here with general adoption. Has the sentiment changed here and we might get bitco...

Re: Recent engines do not work on Manjaro/Arch Linux.
The question people should be asking is wtf is wrong with libcurl, if a version compiled with one version is not working with a system that has version+1 ? Breaking backwards compatibility is insane, it should be curl2 or something.

Are you sure about the OS version? I mean any server change at this point should obviously be to 18.04.

Re: An open letter/epitaph to BA and it's "community"
I do hate the old ba- new ba switching, it is borderline playing 2 different games.
All i want to know is if current ba10 devs are entitled to use the name, and if they are people can STFU and play latest.

Recent engines do not work on Manjaro/Arch Linux.
Recent engine versions have started depending on an outdated? library, to make spring work on Arch based distros one has to install libcurl-compat and make a launch script like this #! /bin/bash LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libcurl.so.3 '/home/varikonniemi/.spring/engine/104.0.1-531-gab3f84f maintenance/spri...

Re: New AMD ZEN
The best aspects seem to be their multithreaded performance, price and energy efficiency. This is in stark contrast to their vega cards that are excellent in everything but efficiency.

Re: Bitcoin ROI made easy
That is a ridiculous comparison though So microsoft buying qdos, itself based on (or copied) cp/m, rebranding it as ms-dos and piggybacking on IBM:s wings to accidentally become an operating system monopoly is in your view something that is rightfully earned? Especially when that monopoly was not n...

Re: Bitcoin ROI made easy
How easy is it to actually sell bitcoins back into euros, dollars, etc.? hundreds of exchanges. But don't give money there unnecessarily, localbitcoins.com and similar (face to face trade) has no fees and the rate has some bonus. If bitcoin grows to be a replacement of 'normal' currencies, how does...

Re: Bitcoin ROI made easy
"the next crash" yeah about that... It might be imminent, it might be from 5000 down to 4000. But the fact is that if you took my advice you have now made 700 euros per Bitcoin profit. I am not necessarily recommending investing at this very moment since my outlook is not so bullish after ...

Because now there is a paradigm shift happening inside the technology, and no mtgox hundreds of millions heist shaking the belief in the early days. Think about it: unlimited scaling, immediate transaction confirmation. These were the main criticisms of Bitcoin, and now they are guaranteed to be fix...

Sadly the previous Bitcoin topic got locked, so let's try again. How many satisfied investors did we managed to create in this community due to that previous topic? If you dived in back then you have made some 3000% ROI, what are your feelings today? Any problems in coping with your new lifestyle? N...

Re: entering lua tweak mode changes scroll speed
Cannot enter lua tweak mode when luaui is disabled.
I have tested BA, BAR and TA. BA and BAR had the problem, but TA did not. So seems to be something game related, especially if BA and BAR are built on the same base.
user widgets were removed for testing.

Entering lua tweak mode and exiting causes the scroll speed from the arrow keys to get slower.

Re: Spring 100.0 Released
So many improvements and fixes across the board that it feels really fresh! Like a 1.0 release.
Hopefully this marks a new page in the history of spring, i almost lost faith during 92-99.
