Re: BA model replacements
humm oh hey hai. right.
can all future texture tweak suggestions be directed at me? would be convenient for everyone.
fine with the tweak but it is just inconvenient when i have to make changes again to the texture and i dont have the tweaked version.

Re: Balance derail from BA model replacements
well i WAS gonna write a long post but mr bob told me off so i am just replying to op I don't like new models of aircraft. Too much contrast to the rest of the great models As i recall, the models that have been done so far are the building models and some of the kbot or whatever you people call the...

Ok. I am going army for two years.
Not going to be texturing the arms race. Mr bob already knows and has gotten someone else for the job
my texture is for mr bob and anyone else to use as they wish.

Re: BA model replacements
there WAS a way for me to fake shadings but at the cost of nearly doubling poly count but that has been ruled out since BA doesnt use transparency. we could just have both the original model and the new models. then people can choose to use different level of detailed models. just like how wc3 can c...

Re: BA model replacements
wow.. it even leans to one side cause it is heavier on the other.. awesome! Problem being, the opposite side looks much heavier. if i let it droop on the heavy side, the weight would topple it over. however, if it leans to the other side, you pull it close to the other side, keeping the weight more...

Re: BA model replacements
yeah. it should stand normally like that and when it dies, it should just give in and collapse on the heavy side. i dont know how good your animators/scripters are but thats how i would do it.

Re: BA model replacements
http://springrts.com/phpbb/download/file.php?id=5325 making the CORE combat engineer right now. unlike in the original one, this one has the nano thingy attached to the shoulder, not forearm. i thought that would be more structurally plausible. the leg design has also been changed and i shall make ...

Re: BA model replacements
the first one is the CORE Construction Kbot and the second is the CORE Adv Construction Kbot. CORCK and CORACK. And yes, the arms do fold out. Or at least they should if anyone is actually animating/scripting these. i tried not to stray too far from the original design http://modinfo.adune.nl/TASdat...

Re: BA model replacements

umm we currently using 1024x1024 texture to be shared by pretty much the whole race it seems. If need arise, i can just make more textures but there are still room on the currrent texture.

Re: BA model replacements
ok. the thing with the jammers and the radar. While we are making these models, there are two objectives 1. Look bloody good close up 2. Look distinguishable far out By adding more detail the models become pretty > they make greate eye candies > they attract more people. By adding more detail and ad...
