Re: Get rid of the OTA commanders

I think the energy grid system is for two reasons: Localizing economy. This way players can't drop mexes here, power there, metal-makers back there... they have to network in order to optimize their base. Force territory expansion. With the metal-maker system, either metal makers are useless in end ...

What is this "Warcraft 1" you speak of? Everyone knows that the Warcraft series started with Warcraft III and there were no games before that. None at all.

Re: campaigns!

What would be worse is if a mission is made now and then in a few months time it's rendered useless because half the models and functions it tries to access don't exist any more... Best to wait till things have settled down first before you start pumping out really uber missions. Well, we can still...

Re: Return of the pro game?

Can't you get veterancy by just spectating games or something? Anyway, I still call bollocks on 'natural talent' in a strategy game. I do believe that practice and/or research is a necessary condition for expertise and extreme competence (ignoring extreme outliers), but not a sufficient condition. T...

Re: campaigns!

I think priority should go to finalizing the gameplay / mechanics first, but that said I suppose the game is in a constant state of improvement so you might as well start working on the campaign now. Just... make sure that plot never gets into the way of gameplay. I'd hate to see anything get introd...

Re: Get rid of the OTA commanders

dunno how about others, but ive stopped downloading test versions, dealing with the mess and bugs and im playing 1.2 only atm which works perfectly. so, have there been any recent advantages ? Quite a lot actually. I tried jumping back to v1.2 and I just found it painful. The only times I've been d...

Re: Get rid of the OTA commanders

I really like the first pic in the OP. :D

However, we don't have Arm and Core separation anymore, we just have one side. Why the separation into Arm and Core commanders in the art?

Re: Return of the pro game?

In my opinion, the "natural skill" comment under Point #2 is absolute bollocks. Yeah, yeah, some players pop into Spring and seem to already know everything, but that's because they played OTA or Supcom or Starcraft or something and are carrying over skills. [1:32:05 PM] <[Fx]Rioter> i onl...

Re: Stuck on "Finalizing..." loading screen section

BUG FIXED.

I required a driver update.

Updated from 8.15.0010.2082 to 15.17.12.64.2226, that seems to solve the problem!

Re: Stuck on "Finalizing..." loading screen section

Alright, it appears BA works fine. Summary: Balanced Annihilation and Kernel Panic just work. Conflict Terra works right up till the point where the start-game countdown reaches zero. Evo and CA don't seem to progress past the "Finalizing..." loading screen (though CA does produce an audio...

Re: Stuck on "Finalizing..." loading screen section

New information!

I tried the Conflict Terra "CT Test Mission"... and it almost worked!

The entire game loaded, and I could pan across the map and zoom. But when the timer finished counting down from 3 to 0, the game froze!

Well, whatever came inbuilt in my Gateway NV59...

"Intel HD integrated graphics"... Yeah I think it's Intel HD generic thing you were referring to.

Re: Stuck on "Finalizing..." loading screen section

Around 30 minutes the first time. Also update: Evolution RTS creates the same problem too.

Either Evo has the same widgets, or this isn't a widget issue.

Stuck on "Finalizing..." loading screen section

Spring v0.82.6.1 Windows 7 Intel Core i3 processor 330M 4 GB Memory (I'm unsure of my video card; it's a default Intel one of some sort...) This seems to be a repeat of an earlier bug . Basically, whenever I try to load a Complete Annihilation game, it will move through all the different stages of l...
