Yup we have finally released the first version of TASpring. There is of course lots and lots left to do on it but we felt that it is working well enough that it should be playable and people should be able to start modding it. We have also had some developers gone inactive lately so we would need new people to help us.
The licence its released under is the GPL which means that you can create your own versions of it, however you must release the source code for any modifications you make. Note that the current version doesn't support any kind of unit syncing so be very careful if you want to try other modifications out it since every player needs exactly the same files.
In the future we will probably try to create one new version per month excluding bug fixes.
You can download the installer and source code from the download page.
We have also created a new forum, Help, where you can ask questions and discuss problems with the release, if any.

Well, maybe I should get bittorrent. Anyway, in about 2-3 hours after I download this file, I'm going to mirror it at my website. The tentative site is http://joet.meekers.org/TA/TASpring/taspring_0.40b2.exe . I hope this mirror helps.
I will mirror it, but I only have 40 gig bandwidth, and I'm already mirroring MAD TA, and I wouldnt want that to go down - its somehow taking up a 3rd of my bandwidth. I think I'll probably just mirror it and hope for the best
