the neck plates are all grey, can you add more contrast there?

Prolly wont. It takes me very long to revisit a model, because I have to set it up in upspring again after I change even the smallest bit.

I'd rather spend time making other stuff, while learning from past mistakes. I cannot afford to strive for perfection. Anyone is free to edit the model and commit the change back into the repo.

Catapult.

I spend a lot of time modelling something that would actually resemble a catapult mechanism, by reloading its payload with a swinging arm. I thought that would be fun but I couldn't really make that work in a way I liked. Just going by one of Arne's concepts resulted in a model much faster. :-)

Looks a bit streamlined. I imagine core looking more blocky and sharp. It is a good model though of course and I guess it will look more coreish when textured. Not that I know anything about modeling..

Lets face it.. the catapult always was a attempt to squeeze mechwarrior into ta... it never worked out stylewise.

No the catapult was added because the devs needed a unit to test the new weapon firing tag.

Yes :-) . I became tired with always animating units with Lua, so this one will run on punched card.

Also: I think the texture makes it look less streamlined (as cheasecan put it), more core and really badass. :-)

for me it looks epic, the vents are a nice touch , the two lazor thingies on front are nice, but will they shoot?.
