You know most people don't play the same game for a decade. It's kind of remarkable that some people here do.

I believe I'm one of these good players you're talking about, and I just take breaks. I'll leave spring for many months and then come back for a month or two. It's just how it goes. Spring (well, BA) is simply the best RTS I've ever played, so I seemingly always eventually come back for a little while. But you can't expect me to do nothing but play spring forever.

Though I probably would have stayed around a bit longer last time if DSD 8v8 weren't my only option most of the time, I must admit.

I dunno, I just thought I was. No one could beat me regularly at BA sea. And I mean no one. I also tend to win about 1/3 of all FFAs that I play... but whatever. I don't even know who you are so I don't care.

And REVENGE, isn't that true? I've known a few guys who have fired up diablo II once every few years since it came out, but that's about all.

But I didn't come here to discuss my credentials. Either way, I'm still pretty sure that people just move on after a while. You can't expect people to play the same game forever. I suppose constant 8v8 DSD might have a little to do with it like you supposed, but it's probably not the biggest reason.

Whoever said that "all them good players went to LoL", it's true, confirmed. Just to name few who did so: Keijj0, triton, 8D, Baracus/Uette, Mumulle, BasiC, Llamadeus, Kixu, Shift and knob and few others that I know. Although knob ain't good.

Why? They all have their own reasons, some just got bored of spring, some got bored of seeing DSD host full all the time. And just like gonpost said, people cba to play the same game for a decade or if they do, they must be deeply in love with that game.
Spring managed to satisfy me for 4 years and that's my personal record at being interested in one same game for that long.
