Can we please have a backstory before we generate a name? The whole Arm vs Core thing won't work, we'll even need new faction names.
Not to mention that a lot of terms and unit names such as peewee or nanolathe will need changing
Yup, that really would need a team effort. To me, the TA unit names were always awesome. Most of them made sense in accordance to the unit they were naming. We need new names like that, gonna be tough.
I don't know if the old unit names are that great, it's just some nice words we've gotten used to but nothing greatly special. But due to the familiarity it WILL be really tough to try and get used to any change into them.

That's sensible, although the motivation for finding a name within, BAR, should a good one be found, is that it allows a little bit of an inside joke or old players or, if you prefer to think of it this way, preserves a bit of history of the game. You see bits like this littered around in Zero-K, like the most damage award is still called the "Complete Annihilation" award, and the default theme is called Robocracy (one of the old rename candidates).
"Build-Attack-Reclaim" is a pretty good one, that summarizes up the game pretty accurately. Better than "Big-Ass Robots" or whatever that silly previous suggestion was.
I still don't think we need to make BAR actually stand for something, what's wrong with 'BAR'?
Because people know that it stands for "Balanced Annihilation Remake". If you just omit a tagline how will you teach them that BAR does not stand for anything anymore. Also 'BAR' alone is a bad name imo.
I like "BattleComs" and also "Build Attack Reclaim".
