well im more fluent in blender but i want to know
if i can use all of the normal nurbs and everything i normally do, or will i have to stick to certain functions?

I'll show some more interest in blender when there's more than only the current camera controls. They feel kind of clusmy and cumbersome, I just can't work fast. Fill me in if there are any alternatives and I'll give blender another go.

Yes but it's still intended to be rendered in real time by a graphics card.
You need Blender if you like to make a 3D animated video with realistic water for example.
it is posible to make the export script for blender? i found blender export script for supcom ... and how you can see it export complete textured model with animations and scripts.
big plus against upspring is that unit creation will be completely platform independent. I think this can help spring comunity a lot, because spring has no competitive free strategy on Linux.

and about blender and wings: for now wings is little bit better in modeling, but working in blender is more comfortable (for me).
That Blender export thing is something we could use for Spring indeed, I guess he should be asked if he would like to work with us on adding Spring support.
