I like it GMN; it has a nice steampunk feel to it.
I think that the lensflare style effect in the background distracts from the ship, which should be the foreground. It also doesn't really stick with the comicey feel of the sketch.
Have a look at how some comics like to abstract thrust flares:

Also, I'm not sold with the distorted perspective on the guns on the top; they look a bit strange, perhaps because they are the only ones with a distorted perspective, and perhaps because distorted perspective tends to say something, which no other part of this image seems to be saying.

You mean you havn't noticed that everything Warlord says is a subtle hint at what we shuld be doing?
I mean even people that don't work on starwars spring at all get hinted at.
Even just him saying "Hi" convays how, actully, you shouldn't be on the lobby, or MSN, you shoudl be working on textures...
To him even this post could have been better used texturing.
