the recent avalanche? Looks good graphics wise but for gameplay I am not sure: most terrain seems unpassable. Maybe make height differences less extreme?

Extreme height differences can be made to path well, look at my teleporter map!

Its going to turn in place, and there is going to be a special animation for that. Sort of a whole Section of rails turning on a circle like structure.
Im actually thinking about making this unit a plane internally. That way i could use the smothmesh, and cross canyons and gaps. Worked for the strider in Valves Game.
Real trouble is the Death Animation..derailing how should i acomplish that? I mastered it for topics, but it doesent come tooPics easily when its needed the most
I kind of can't get warm with the snow on that map, specifically the edges. though .. i guess it makes sense when looking at terrain from far above, it still kind of feels unnatural to me. hmm... maybe that is not the problem i have, but ... usually the grass is not as green as that in winter, when there is snow in the mountains. if it is that, it is ok i guess, as.. having nice green grass plus snow is good for the mood... behe playing god, and improving on his work!
