1) Can you login to website http://planet-wars.eu/ModelBase?

Yes: continue to step 2
No: enter new (different login) and password for another acocunt

2) do you have subversion installed and your folder checked out on desktop?

Yes: continue to step 3
No: repeat steps http://planet-wars.eu/ModelBase/SubversionHowTo.aspx

3) right click on your folder and select commit. Enter your login and password from modelbase. Does it work?

Yes: done!
No: you did something wrong in one of the step or you are typing login/password incorrectly. Its all case sensitive.

All of CC 3.0 is just one click away here - http://creativecommons.org/about/licenses

I excluded the ND licenses because those have no use in a cooperative environment and are not compatible with any interpretation of free.

PD - http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/
In theory you enter something into PD by waiving all of the rights associated with it, as you might accomplish with the convenient text provided by http://creativecommons.org/license/zero/. There really isn't a license to provide - I can create a general template if you wish, or you can use any of the many out on the internet.

AL2 - http://www.perlfoundation.org/artistic_license_2_0

I would offer the full-text locally.

I see some screenshots here:
http://springrts.com/websvn/listing.php ... n%2F#_Daan_

Just make subfolder for each unit and put unit sources to that folder - along with screenshots and thats it :)

Added support for model license publication.

On model details page, you can pick desired license, it shows license link too.

You can also provide your own license text - stored in "license.txt" in model folder. In that case link points to this text.

If you want additional licensing options let me know.

Can you add some sort of sub-author system, wherein variants based on models and textures already on the site are linked as derivative. I would like to modify some textures as I did in the past, then load them back up to ModelBase for general use - I'm sure I'm not the only person who would like this capability.

Otherwise, I really like ModelBase. I hadn't the time to flip though it, but it is pretty well executed and I see some real potential.

I would also like derivative stuff, since I'm still reskinning / detailing a fair number of things that show up in that archive. I'd rather post as a "variant", so it's clear where the model derived from.

Love it, though. So glad it finally exists! :-)

Displaying derivative stuff is not a problem, problem is designing easy to use gui to let people define what they derive from :)

No, it posted WHOLE history as daily news and all modelbase models :)

It did it at once of course...

And I locked thread to prevent other users from posting. It can update posts or add new automatically even to locked topic.

Fixed modelbase after server move - it failed to detect SVN changes.
If you notice further quirks, let me know.
