Still no autohost up.

Sunday is a bad time. Play on Saturday. I would join if it was Saturday.

Yeh that's the exact answer I got when I set a tourney a while back for Saturday. Some people can't play on Saturday, some can't play on Sunday, I got the impression that Sunday was the best day for tourneys from a few people.

you'll get that issue no matter what day you host it on.

i dont see what the issue with hosting is, for much of this morning i have been hosting kernel panic totally fine with a relay

I set it to 5:00PM GMT/(UK Time?) but I have all that Sunday afternoon after 2:00PM so anywhere between 2:00PM - 10:00AM that day. Would be better to have it in the afternoon rather than evening though.
2:00PM is ok. I'm free most of that weekend but notably not after 3:00GMT as I want sleep.

Tournaments usually take longer than an hour.

Hell, just preparing usually takes over an hour.

My internet died for 2 days so I haven't been able to spam #main as much as I'd have liked to but the tourney will go ahead unless the playercount is below 4 :P

A KP game is often over before 5 min so even if its bo5 every match its relatively fast

Not as many players as I hoped we'd have but meh, I guess I could up the game rounds to best of 5 or something.

Ok so I chose to use Zerver's map suggestions and hosting seems to work fine on Relay hosts, although, random spawns were actually random and we had players spawning on random geos so we'll use fixed positions.

If you just want to come and watch, it starts at 5:00PM GMT today (6:00PM UK Time).

Ok, seems there's a fair amount of interest in the tourney, although, a lot of it just seems to be people wanting to spec :P

Anyway, most the people I've asked say they've never played KP before so wouldn't want to play cause they'd get pwned easily. Well, I just played my first game today and most the other players in it have never really played before either so it's not an experienced players tourney. Anybody can play, newbies and pros alike.

If you never played Kernel Panic, then play as System and read the tips in the blue box at the bottom.

If you want to spec, play alone, press Esc for the menu, then click skirmish, spectate, to watch AI battle.

Tourney over, Godde won.

I think it went well, although, it didn't help that my net kept deciding to d/c randomly... anyway, here's some feedback from various people.

  • Kernel Panic maps aren't so eye friendly
  • Nobody figured out how to change start position type on Springie
  • Jaz needs to make maps and rounds more varied and clear
  • Jaz needs to fix his interwebz
  • There's always people who don't turn up to tourneys when they're supposed to
  • GMT time is UK time + 1... Sometimes.

Well, I've got most the replays I need. It'll probably take around a week till I get the KP site up with all the media and unit pictures and stuffs.
