Mod tutorials and resources.

To see any non-stickied topics in Games & Mods I have to scroll down. A subforum similar to the "mapping tutorials" subforum should be added for all the stickies.

Submit anything you want in that topic and I'll add it if I think it's sufficient.

I've repeatedly asked neddie for this but he seems resistant to it. :(

Epic bump for great justice. 8)

Whoever finally did this, thank you so very, very much.

I've started a list of threads to be moved to the subforum, so far I got through the first 10 pages. It is by no means exhaustive (not least because there are 72(!) pages of threads in this forum).

Maybe move (input on these welcome):

Please do not make threads such as
http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=24373 a sticky.
Instead there should be ONE place in the wiki that has a link to all kind of important links. You can then link to that wiki page in one sticky.
So everybody can update/add new links and you do not end up with 10 different link lists like we have atm.

The "Local Policy" Sticky ( http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12388 ) says nothing that is not said in the more global forum rules as well. (no spam, no off topic)

Somebody remind me to update my directory thread.

The Local Policy thread was added because people were not following the general rules, and excused their behaviour as differences in interpretation. When some of these stickies were created, they were intended to consolidate threads in the forum while the possible deprecation of the wiki was being discussed.

I agree with your points, as times change, but it is a little important to remember why things ended up as they are. We didn't make these decisions arbitrarily, they had context which has since changed.

Yes, sure I just do not want to type a long excuse every post lol.
The point is:
they had context which has since changed.

no idea what this is or was.
A collection of threads without any description.
