Conflict Terra uses Rapid. How do I use rapid you ask?

well, at the same time, i think some randys showed up, which shows

a) people still do like new things
b) the game was hella fun and people stuck around

So why is there so much unsyncs? Was the version uploaded to rapid different than the one uploaded to springfiles?

I don't understand what happened but here is what i observed.

People using Zerok Lobby were able to download ct test blah blah and join the game but would not sync. After they downloaded ct using zkl they could quit zkl, open up spring lobby and be in sync.

The few of us that had working rapid. (Still trying to wrap my head around that problem.) Were able to get it via rapid and sync in spring lobby just fine. The map in question is both on springfiles and on our code.google.com page.

Don't mean to spam, but as it seems related: Picasso couldn't sync with us using ZK-lobby this evening either (using manually downloaded files, as per the links in the Engines thread, I guess). So doesn't seem to be restricted to Conflict Terra. (He ended up joining using SpringLobby - which has other problems for him).

My understanding was that ZK lobby has recently been "broken."

If you do rightclick->view image to see image fullsize and look closely, you will notice that only the players with 6,7 GHZ are unsynced.

6,7 GHZ being zeroK Lobby user.

Also notice that some players are logged with 2 accounts:
1) with zK: not synced
2) with Springlobby/Alphalobby/TASClient: synched

NOBODY could sync with zeroK lobby and it was not map or mod.
Players logged in with a different lobby and it worked.
On the screenshot you can see some players are actually twice in battleroom:

snackuser: me on SL, synced
[rox]knorke: me on zK, not synced (even having downloaded the with zK)

Nomoredrunkenposting: Picasso on zK
PicassoCT: Picasso on some other lobby
(lol now you cant smurf anymore)

My guess (but i have no idea really) is that zeroK lobby somehow needs its server (which was (is?) down) to get checksums from files and decides on those if sync/unsync. And without server it couldnt get checksums maybe.

Due to people actually showing up I'll we hosting another game(s) of ct hopefully around the same time. Updates to come if I have any.

Also, shouldnt we open a soupkitchen for broken down lobbys? They cant live from booze and cigaretts alone.
