babs for example kicks so much ass in teamgames because his com micro uberskills mean use no metal, leaking it all to his teammates and ensuring they win the macro game (especially in 2v2).

just realized this.

commander morph = 3 solar + 1 mm = more than 400 metal.

its actually less.

3 solar plus mex = 2605 + 3 * 2495 = 10090 BT = secs?

People who use the term "faggotry" are faggots.

Com morph is UP needs longer dgun range so i can dgun their face without both of our little boy commanders blowing up like a child porn flick.


Also maybe the dgun damage should be increased i dgunned a commander 5 times once and nothing happened except explode but no death please that should be improve if i have the uberepicom.

If you want example of how to fix such bug then u can should download the epicoms.sd7 from the jobjol site.

Suggestion to combalance.
In XTA the commander is a very powerful unit.
There are many reasons why you would not want to lose it.
It is useful in most situation in any game.
I suggest,aside from other decided upon changes,to allow the player that loses the commander to have 1k E and 1k M storage.
When you lose a commander sometimes, it is extremly annoying to not have any storage...
It not that big of a change and this small change will not encourage people to combomb more...
It's just an annoying feature.
What do you think?

You forgot cloak cost decrease.
Dgun range increase can happen later, when t2 is in place, imo.







To be more detailed about commander morph cost.

It costs 400 metal, and 1300 energy, and 30 secs (dunno how is that in bt).

If you morph, you need:

2 solars

You spent:

280 m in solars
400 metal for morph
------ 680 metal total
1300 e for morph
60 seconds (more or less)


At the end you get this stats:

+135 energy (135 effective e income)
+3 metal (non energy draining metal)
-0 energy
+0 accumulated metal
+1k m/e storage

If you dont count mex metal income, you end with +0 accumulated metal after the morph, so all is taken from the initial 1k metal.



Morphing is equivalent to building 3 solars and 1 metal maker, but we must count the 2 solars you build when morphing, this is a total 5 solars.
for that you need.

700 metal
687 energy
around 70 seconds

At the end you get this stats:

+150 energy (+90 effective e income)
+2 metal (non energy draining metal)
+1 metal (Metal maker)
-60 energy
+140 accumulated metal
+0 m/e storage



If you think its a good idea to start 5 solars and mmers, ............




The other stats increase in commander come for free.

i dont see anything about establishing that relation in this posts anyhow.


what i can see clearly is that next time im about to queue 3 solars, i rather morph, as its faster/cheaper, and has bonus stats with it.

Mongus,you seem to be very enthusiastic about this issue,which is great.
Do you think you can make a test version with modified com morphs and morph costs so we can test it?

when was the last time you had an xta game? or say, 3 xta games in a week? i've never seen you playing in the last 6 months or so, how can you get an opinion on a game you don't even play?
