Yup, I'm just doing an exchange semester in Europe so work is a little slow while I settle in. Sorry about the lack of updates!

And by settling in he means getting hammered and road tripping.

Presenting the Imperial Orbital Uplink Facility.

This facility is one of the most advanced and expensive of all the Imperial structures. When there are imperial forces engaged on a planet, typically there will be some sort of imperial presence in orbit to assist with the logistics of battle below. However, these craft rarely entail a battlefleet. The presence of an Orbital Uplink Facility, however, means that there is most definitely an Imperial Warship in orbit above the planet.

These facilities are rarely employed by the Imperials - only in the rare instances when a Rebel force is heavily entrenched, and bathing the entire planet in fiery death unfortunately not an option is this facility used.

When constructed, it allows the Imperial general to call down orbital bombardment strikes on Rebel positions. These strikes tend to be quite inaccurate, but extremely powerful, bathing an area in destruction.

Without the uplink facility, however, targetting from orbit is too risky, and so the orbiting Imperial destroyer will be unable to fire on ground targets, so the Rebels will be hard pressed to destroy the facility as soon as possible.

Good to see it's still alive. We need news from SW:IW :)

Very nice, as usual.

So that's what a hand held laser and walkie-talkie looks like in the future.

Seriously, like many I'm looking forward to seeing this project reach the light of day.

Thanks for the patience all; my trip through Europe is drawing to a close, and I'll be back to the cold harsh reality of real life in a few weeks.

I'm getting a malware alert from chrome when I try to visit imperialwinter.com.. Anyone else experiencing this? edit: it seems forums.imperialwinter.com/Themes/default/mgallery/highslide.js points to pantscow.ru:8080/Batch_Process.js , and pantscow.ru is flagged for malware by chrome, although that javascript doesn't seem to contain anything.

Now the main page is fixed, but http://forums.imperialwinter.com/Themes ... /script.js and http://forums.imperialwinter.com/Themes/default/sha1.js still have the pantscow line, so the forums still throw up the alert.

wow! :D
i like the head a lot!!! looks like.. in a movie to me.
nice even from below! :-)

the legs (not the feet!) and the neck look a bit cheap in comparison, which i guess is mainly due to the original model design.

could you possible fix-up the old, old version of your mod, to work with current spring? or is it ok if someone else would do it and publish it here?

Still alive ? The project looks indefinitely stuck at 83%...

Are we facing a new curse here ?
