Re: BA model replacements
Thanks Arttu i didnt know about the fusion and the solars. Though I dont think the packo is his, it looks too crappy. And texture on the ship looks off as well.

Re: BA model replacements
Beherith,
from reading the forums, I think the boat is completely his, so is the texturing.
The packo and bertha is imported to CA, so they may look different.
Whatsoever, every model, at least, should be cremusses'.
And I understood you want to retexture them anyway?

Re: BA model replacements
I might be wrong but IIRC he modelled the boat but someone else did the texture when Cremuss left spring.
Re: BA model replacements
Hehehe... I did the ZK bertha import.SirArtturi wrote:from reading the forums, I think the boat is completely his, so is the texturing.

IIRC, it was a pretty straightforward "convert to OBJ, import into UpSpring, set firepoints/effectpoints" dealie -- but it's worth a second look -- I'm not sure if the normals and the radius are set right.
I remember it looked similar to what I saw in Blender, though, if that means anything.
As for the Pack0 -- I don't think that's Cremuss's. Ask Saktoth to make sure, but I'm almost definite that's an CA kitbash.
As for the ships, ZK took Cremuss's models and filled in the gaps with their own modified versions. You probably ought to ask Saktoth about the ships, too.
Re: BA model replacements
Dont want any CA/ZK stuff not made by me or Bob or Cremuss in BAR.
Thanks for the info about ships tho :D

Re: BA model replacements
I posted all the screenshots of CORE units that I could find here on the "media" part:
http://balancedannihilation.org/portfol ... ore-units/
I started doing the same for ARM, i will keep it update.

Golly getting napped by Seahook:
Re: BA model replacements
To be clear: The Bertha is a Cremuss model -- I did only the importing.Beherith wrote:Dont want any CA/ZK stuff not made by me or Bob or Cremuss in BAR.
Re: BA model replacements
I meant the packo and the ship's texture. Those are stand out obviously.

Re: BA model replacements
Nope, not by a long shot, but it's a gigantic step forward. The next big project will be sounds.gajop wrote: Btw, will this really make BA free of TA IP? Since you will be still using names or at least most of the TA mechanics, doesn't that make it still somewhat IP encumbered, or how does that lawyer mambo-jumbo work?
Re: BA model replacements
Sounds are done, and its not as far as you think.
Re: BA model replacements
A quick question,Beherith wrote:Sounds are done, and its not as far as you think.
How close are you to finishing core?
%/number of models finished?
%/number of models yet to be textured?
%/number of models yet to be made?
Will you use new ceg effects(you know, the only stuff that normal people who don’t own fancy hardware get to see)/projectiles for ths new ba??? If so how close to finishing/finding new ones are you???

Re: BA model replacements
This is not for people with old computers.
If you have a very old cpu (more than 6 years old, eg. pre core 2 duo era) then it will not work, just as BA is unenjoyable in its most common form.
If your GPU is also older than 5 years (8600GT and older) it will also suck.
New cegs? Well, BA remake has what you put in it. Checkout the svn, see how cegs work and fix them up!
