Spring 85.0!
Re: Spring 85.0!
Mt is not the main branch of spring it is the side project of one dev, please understand that he cannot ensure that it will be ready at the release date of the main engine. Or, start helping him code it.
Re: Spring 85.0!
Patience, 85.1 is coming.
You can build your own fixed MT today by applying this commit
https://github.com/spring/spring/commit ... 4e98cb9669
to the 85.0 tag.

It is part of the main branch, but you are correct that I am the only one trying to keep it alive really.smoth wrote: Mt is not the main branch of spring
Re: Spring 85.0!
just hate when people are putting undue pressure on you, yet they don't want to help. I am sure there are at least 10 programers here who do nothing to help and have no projects but love to make demands
Re: Spring 85.0!
Unfortunately MT desyncs with the fix I suggested. Another update is coming...

Re: Spring 85.0!
Thanks zerver.
It was not a demand it was a request. I am a developer as well just not a Spring expert. So I understand the pains of multi threaded code in c++.
I would be part of the project, but I don't code in c++ very often. I would only code something if I could make money from it.

Re: Spring 85.0!
If you start, you will be amazed at how soon you will have passed a year, 2 years 3 years coding in c++ you will never code in C++ if you didn't start.tberthel wrote:I would be part of the project, but I don't code in c++ very often.
Damn shame that this is your attitude.tberthel wrote:I would only code something if I could make money from it.
Re: Spring 85.0!
If you get your spouse or your dad to hand you a cent everyday, you got a good excues to code everyday. Now that i think, never seen programmers doing a strike or union (lack of overlapping interests to concatenate, i dont think soo).. this stuff is highly addictive
Long Projelistis log
The only thing that is short in supply on my side- is time to code. I got a dysfunctional clock, who constantly jumps from 11:00 Morning to 1:10 at night. I promise you all, one day i get it shifting and then.."Today the crack addicted gathered in the street to protest the rising prices! They threatend continued substance abstinence too the DealersUnitedInterests!STRIKE!"
"BOOLSHIT, bro!" claims the spokesman of the DUI.

Re: Spring 85.0!
I have been giving a hard time in the last release threads, but that has been because the releases have been buggy.
Now i would like to give out a big thank you for this release, Spring actually is working again!! I have not experienced one single issue with spring 85 that i would need to report as a critical flaw. There are of course the usual glitches, most notably pathfinding, but all in all this is one heroic release!
MT is a whole another issue i guess, but that does not concern me since i have not yet collected the bravity to wander into that territory

Re: Spring 85.0!
Hi there, downloaded that version because me and a Friend got a couple of desyncs after about 30-40 Minutes of playing.
Seemed to run fine until the game locked up on my site (complete Lock, not a sudden CTD) - no error windows popped up.
It seems most of the Info needed is written into the log (CPU Capabilities, Graphics card, available System RAM, OS ...)
None of this stuff has any custom overclock applied.
Game used was Tech Annihilation 2.16 on Supreme Battlefield Map with 3 Bots (2 ARM and 1 Core).
Are any information about the game setup needed (max amount of units, which checkboxes are ticked, etc?)
Heres a pastebin Link for the whole log http://pastebin.com/WThKSDVs
If you need any more information, let me know.

Yes, this is strange. I don't know why it works in such way...PtaQ wrote:Im running ubuntu 11 and the software center provides with v0.82.5.1 as the lastest.
But you can get latest version:

Seems zerver already added a report.knorke wrote:better to make make bugreports here: http://springrts.com/mantisEngine Of Darkness wrote:Hi there, downloaded that version because me and a Friend got a couple of desyncs after about 30-40 Minutes of playing.
I added a replay of the game but I can't seem to add a note for some reason (getting an SQL Error Message).
SO I'll just add it here, sorry.
Sorry, couldn't get around adding a bug report sooner, thought I'll attach the replay of the game - maybe it helps somehow.
I crashed somewhere around 18 Minutes in the game.
The Map Supreme Battlefield I've played on is dated to Wednesday, 18. February 2009, 22:39:06 (downloaded that one ages ago pretty much)
Size 51,8 MB (54.376.158 Bytes)
Size on Disk 51,8 MB (54.378.496 Bytes)
It is the 32x32 variant.

Re: Spring 85.0!
I tried, but then it took me to this strange site with a mantis on it, were there were endless lists with cryptic descriptions, and demanded i should login, and i was there searching the infolog, when it thought:knorke wrote:better to make make bugreports here: http://springrts.com/mantisEngine Of Darkness wrote:Hi there, downloaded that version because me and a Friend got a couple of desyncs after about 30-40 Minutes of playing.

Another time the evil games industry puts the preasure on us, demanding customers not to be bothered.
