For a thred about Chat moderation needs some moderations.

Also, about the chat moderators, who actually spends alot of time in the #mian chanal? I mean for actuall talking?

I just try to find a coolio game to join and start blowing stuff up.

Anyway.. yeah, zoombie when I do use the spring lobby I don't even chat in it.

I chat in it. Most of the people in there are good, and worth talking to. But when a spammer or someone comes on, it makes chatting impossible.

is it actual spam or some scrolling the chat?

Scrolling the chat as you refer to it is spam.

Both. Each of which is annoying and should be stopped. Even if its not offensive, it is REALLY annoying, and makes chatting impossible. And yes, an ignore button would fix this problem for one user. But what about the people who dont know about this button? Or people that have just signed up? Thats where a moderator steps in and mutes/muzzles them for a few minutes.

there are ways to limit a user sending messages to only send every so often. This can be handled automatically. As far as not having knowledge of an ignore button's location if we make it red it will be easy to see.

There are more types of spamming then just repeating the same word a million times or random strings as fast as you can. We could theorectically have advertizers or just people being pricks to everyone in the channel.

when i'm on, i usualy say, behave guys and it all settles down

i do think we need some more mods so we hav one or two online round the clock

only their presence is usually enough
