This ladder works trough a special bot: LadderBot, pm to it !ladderhelp to get the list of commands.
how to play a ladder game:
list the available ladders with !ladderlist, and get the id of the ladder you plan to play
use !ladder id to get the bot to join your battleroom
(optional) use !ladderchecksetup in the battleroom to check that the current settings are compatible with the ladder
the bot will spectate the battle, and submit the score to the main bot
How to check player scores: !score ladderid will show scores for all the players in the ladder !score playername will show scores for given player in all ladders !score ladderid playername will show scores for given player for given ladderid
TODO/Help needed:
needs volunteer admins responsible for single ladders
fancy ladder website, none of the ladder developers know how to make one, requirements: web developing skills ( you can use any language, php, python, etc ) and SQL knowledge
I was trying to take a look at the source but it looks like some files are missing. They are listed in the .gitignore file, does that count as a bug or are you using code with obscure distribution license/whatever?
How are disconnects/desyncs handled? Ideally it should ignore games that desync or wont end with gameover. Dave the brave claimed he kicked the ladder bot and it gave him loss in revenge :)

Planetwars can be brought online at any time, its just offline atm. It features ELO based ratings - for teams and 1v1 games, scores and list of "awards" gathered from games as well as details about all games played.
Springie also has ELO calculation which works similar to ladder rating - it works in teams and FFA games too - tracks all games played on springie-type autohosts in one central database running on springrts.com Its intended goal is team balancing. Here are its top players http://springie.licho.eu/top50.php
Ladderbot cannot be easilly integrated with planetwars since planetwars needs 2 way communication - it must change modoptions to transmit data about planetwars structures and extra units to game and then uses autohost to relay realtime data back to planetwars (about killed units, deployed PW structures etc)
Spring Ladder site template. Pretty simple and basic as it's my first ever web design I've ever done. Would be nice to get some feedback on it and what I should do to it to make it usable.
Looks nice but are you serious about using literally a latter as icon? How about a cup or something? (well, call me captian obvious) The latter looks like craftsmen or something
Instead of <center> use margin: 0px auto; to center things
The top menu seems to cut off a little too harshly, if you could add in a 1 or 2 pixel line at the top to soften the divide
I tried adding "margin: 0px auto;" to my #Footer section but it didn't seem to do anything Halp!
And yeh, I agree the nav bar isn't too great and I did actually add a top and bottom border in but because of the backing colours they aren't too noticeable, I'll defo change that.

Well first off it's "Ladder" And I thought the ladder worked quite well tbh, I don't really understand how you got a craftsman out of it
