Spring Crash when Loading

Hello, I haven't played Spring in quite some time. Tried to fire it up today and it crashes during loading. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the infolog.txt:

it doesn't crash: it "hangs". looks like an endless loop in the selected ai interface / ai.

very likely you've selected an ai which is incompatible to the game?!

Hmmm... I'm playing what looks to be the latest version of BA Chicken Defense v3.13 using a chickens normal not versioned bot.

oh, ok. then you've maybe set some setting incompatible to your hardware causing these hangs.

can you try to remove /home/david/.config/spring/springsettings.cfg please?
does it work when you run it with "spring --safemode"?

I started spring using the command line: Ooooooh, I've never seen this screen! I've only ever started via the lobby.

Ok, works fine using spring --safemode.

Doesn't work if I remove springsettings.cfg and run using only spring.

I saw the seg fault in terminal: Error: Segmentation fault (SIGSEGV) in spring 98.0

The right hand column of this page http://springrts.com/wiki/Springsettings.cfg lists the effects of safemode. It simply temporarily sets some config options that are known to sometimes cause issues.

So you can work through those and work out which one causes your problem (or, if you are unlucky, maybe more than one). Then keep that turned off and you should be good to go.
