determine Spring version on Linux

Post by Cpt_StoneAge »

How do I determine which version(s) of Spring RTS I have installed (Linux / Ubuntu)?

in springlobby: go to tab "Battlelist", start new room.
In the window that opens there is dropdown menu for engine versions.
I think it lists all spring-versions that you have installed (and are recognized by springlobby)

To see what version a running game uses, press I ingame.
Typing /gameinfo in ingame chat is the same, if I-key does not work for some reason.

in springlobby:

edit -> preferences -> spring

or from command line for a specific spring executable: spring --version
or, just start a game, version is always shown in splash/loading screen.

The dropdown menu lists the games, not the Spring version. However pressing I or typing /gameinfo in the ingame chat worked. Thanks!

It said I'm using Spring version 96. Is it possible to also install 91 on Ubuntu?
