it seems that 2/3 relayhosts doesn't work...

SLRelayMaster works,
- when i select AURelayHost, and click host: nothing happens
- with [V]RelayMaster: i get the timeout:

Code:
[f=0000000] Connecting to 113.192.3.163:8406 using name [AG]abma
[...]
[f=0000000] Warning: Server not reachable

any ideas whats wrong?

who is responsible for relayhosts?

are there any working relay hosts left?
It is the only way to play online when testing mah mod and I do not have acess to the router at this place. (so can not forward port)

Using springlobby 0.139
Tried to host with relayhost, but no relayhosts starts and no battleroom opens. (on chose automatic)
Then tried manual chosing, but the drop down list is empy:

Noticed there is an option to "manually enter the manager name" (never used before)
Tried those two (c&from this thread)
AURelayHost
[V]RelayMaster
Neither worked. That was about 2 hours again.
(waited 30-60 seconds or so)
When I tried now, "[V]RelayMaster" worked but not "AURelayHost"

Anyway, its nice that it works by manually typing in the hostmanagers names, but being able to select them/have them chosen automagically would be nicer ;)

/edit
even if battleroom opens, connecting does not work:
Quote:
* [RoX]knorke is preparing to start the game, game will start in approximately 5 seconds
* [V]RelayHost1 *** Starting game...
<[RoX]knorke> "connecting to server" countdown..
* [V]RelayHost1 *** Game ended
<[RoX]knorke> did you get in?

the reason why the list is empty is simply because there's no host available:
AU and V didn't update since an year and their owners disappeared, so i hide them from the list
phantasm never got back to me about fi's after my last suggestion to him
SL is not always online

What are the requirements to run such a relay? Maybe I can host one/some.

OK... I think I read everything and it looks easily installable (though I'll have to use debian unstable repo for spring (not what wiki sais), and that's fugly on a server)...
Regarding requirements: does spring-dedi use CPU + MEM like a normal spring?? I couldn't host that... :|
Or does it only relay network traffic... is more like a network proxy, and spring-dedi is not used for sim?
Also: how many relays are desired?

Dedi takes about 90MB virt / 42MB res with 1-2% cpu on my i7 920 server. I'd say caclulate your max from that at first and check back once they actually get used. Also #autothostdev might be better for contact, since #autohost is somewhat noisy from the bots.

spring-dedicated indeed does only relay network traffic (basically). it also keeps track of the rough game state, as in... is the game over, how many players are currently connected, ... such stuff. it does not run the simulation (that would be spring-headless).

Thank you. I'll set it up and test it a little. From the MEM requ. I think I can setup 5 relays atm... I'll post here again when I know more... It'll prob. be in a few days.

once it worked but after few seconds the host closed again:

NotaLobby uses !addbox command for placing start boxes.
but there is difference between auto-hosts.

1. Let's make auto-hosts with identical main commands !?
2. Add some commands to the 'not a spam' list.

It is a nice feature, but maybe it would be more appropriate if the command is sent after some interval to avoid spam when using the box-size slider.
(maybe it is already done :?: )
