then new reply: ah yeah, it isn't so much about building a fort and staying safe although there is a mod that adds rampaging ogres. Hiding in a fort gets pretty boring. I have tired it. More need to be like a dawrf, diggy diggy etc
because your suggestion is meh for several reasons: first, not all form of colourblindness are the same, there are several colours that cannot be distingushed, not just red & green, taking account for all them is kinda pointless second, even if someone is colourblind, he'd still be able to read the texts, he just cannot distinguish between the 2 colours, but he still could read them fine third, which is the point of my post, a text stops being readble only when it makes low contrast with the background ( including colourblindness, etc ) fourth, a colorblind person can always remap colours from his browser into something he can distinguish
I have to say I lost interest in Minecraft. Played around with the enchantments and that made the game really damn easy. I wish building stuff was more about necessity than creativity, building things is more fun when you got constraints to work within and a goal to work towards. I built dozens of forts in Stratosphere but not one in MC.

Agreed. You can build a big, awesome fort with lots of cool little traps and tricks and secrets, but the bottom line is that all of it is useless. A 3x3 dirt hut will do you just as good.
Super popular threads that look like they'll be popular for a long-time are usually stickied. They're always forgotten to be unstickied after their time is up though.

Still makes no sense: If it's super popular for a long time, then it doesn't need any sticky to stay up.
Don't need to tell me that.
Generally though, once a thread goes a week with no replies, it tends to die unless it's bumped. Stickying threads usually means they stay fresh for a lot longer as they're not forgotten about. Threads that die don't always die because nobody's interested in them, it's sometimes 'cause people just forget about them and cba to dig them up.

Was informed by zwzsg about something called computercraft and its awesome. It allows to programm little mining robots with lua, and thus you are now able to build your tunnels while staying at home.
Even better. You can build a factory, that builds turtles (this is how the robots are called) and these turtles can go forth and harvest stuff, so the factory can build more turtles, so..
Slanders! Just ruining the map by carving a giant rectangular hole is easy and boring. What I'm trying to do is to teach my turtle to build more interesting shapes.
