bah we spent like 3 hours mining after dying horrible to creepers and zombies at the spawn point.

I know it sucks that Jaz's stuff got stolen but tbh if he quit minecraft why even bother resetting.

Also whats wrong with the skybridge ?? it will be a minecart from spawn to cheesecan's wooden tower and our pit. Seems pretty crappy to reset after hours of hard work :/.

The main reason for the reset if because I want to keep a closer track of what's happening on the server... when I started hosting, I had no clue what Minecraft was or that there were mods which would help the moderation of the server.

I'd say there's quite a difference between destroying your own home and getting raided by another player... but that's just me...

I don't know what to say about that, but it's not looking nice imho... it's basically just floating blocks in the air... something which you would build the first time you place Minecraft basically...

afaik, the world is generated based on some kind of randomization... but I guess we can re-create the world again if it spawns on snow...

Though... with the new mods I've installed, you can set your own spawn home... so you can start in your base when you die :)

Make a safe start point area. We have one. :). of course our server is much much larger. but note the fully lit compass rose in the middle of town square(I live waaaaaaaaaaay on the east side btw.)

And the stuff that he lost was the stuff that he stole from me. This server started off as a reset because me and Sheep ended up pvp on the last server and just mucking everything up. Then we started again and made a truce and made our bases open to each other and we had an agreement not to rob from each other or w/e and we just worked together on a few things. Then the server was made public and Ivory came on and robbed me then bitched about losing my stuff as if it was a big deal for him ¬_¬

I guess some people just have the urge to grief so I suppose it would happen eventually anyway. Imo, I'd prefer if the server was just reset and people didn't get their things back. The whole fun for me is exploring and adventuring caves and landscapes hunting for resources to make a cool base.

you could just make a password there, and invite only friends there or something. kinda stupid to make it public if the game is like that you can go and fuck up everyone if you wanted.

I've been playing on this server for just a week now, and already there is a reset. Is there any guarantee it won't happen again next week, or the week after that? I mean it's quite sad if you spend lots of time building cool stuff and then lose it. That makes you not want to play here at all, which defeats the whole purpose of having a public server.

I agree, me and Sheep spent ages on our funky bases. I wouldn't mind so much if Zydox saved the map level so I could play it alone or host it on another server somewhere or whatever. It would just be nice to know it's not gone forever.

What would be awesome though, is if we split into two halves and made separate settlements and decided we would declare war on whatever date. Kind of like RPG where everybody plays along for a while. There are so many cool things that people do on Minecraft to keep it interesting, but none of it is much fun if you have griefers and robbing fags

seriously. we don't steal from each other on my server and it is a private one about 8 of us on it.

trademark: because it makes the world alive you have stuff like people helping you build or giving you protection at night. I spent 4 hours one night helping a friend by fighting all the nearby monsters while he established a nice start for his castle. we even have under water passage ways etc.

After 5 minutes all and I mean all hostile monsters are dead, I then expand my perimeter until day where I restock, hunt game prepare armor and assorted other tasks.
