This is version which doesn't minimize spring and should run fine. (It's temporary alpha version of springie - they must fix spring).

Springie 0.83a released
=================

- added !reload command to manually reload mod and map list.
- %1 can now be used in game title (will display springie version)
- springie now sets hosting spring process priority, desired level is in settings (main section). Default is "AboveNormal"
- if you try to close springie while hosting a game, new dialog pops up and you can choose to automatically exit as soon as hosted game ends
- allows you to change spring priority on the run from menu
- allows you to hide/show spring hosting window on the run from menu
- allows rehosting and mod reloading from menu

- !team and !ally commands added for manual team/ally forcing
- !helpall command added - displays all commands known to springie, sorted by command level
- you can now set windows size and fullscreen/windowed mode and hide spring window in settings

minor tweaks and bugfixes:
==========================

- game now locks on start (to prevent some minor bugs)
- maplink now never contains space characters - you can always click on it
- default throttling for "!force" added (to avoid spring.exe crash)
- empty admin name causing exception fixed
- empty welcome message causing exception fixed
- fixed exception caused by network disconnect during map search
- all messages by springie to battle lobby are now said as emote (except game chat redirects)
- fixed chat redirect from springie GUI to game

well spring still crashes on startup with spring 0.74 and the new springie. I'm not sure why, maybe it's my video card or something, but I've basically given up.

hi. i love the idea of hosting an auto server. i set up a springie server this mornign but ive had a few problems.

doubt its anythign to do with springie, i believe it's my NAT. was just hoping one of you would be able to point me in the rite direction..

ive forwarded ports 8452 udp and tcp and also 8200 just to be safe.. yet people connecting to the server (except myself of course) just get hte count....

any ideas....

cheers
bobs.

Licho: people were asking me how to change dgun limit setting in the autoserver, apparently that command is not documented in !help.

He hasn't added it yet, but it is on his long list of features to include, if I recall.

How about the ability to ban certain maps, so they cant be voted for? This would be very useful, thanks.

Bobins - you only ned to forward one port (UDP) to hosting machine. And set springie to use that port for spring hosting.
I guess that your forwarding doesnt work yet..

LordMatt - you can change dgun limit but only from springie GUI. I plan to add "presets" (configurable by server owner, presets will include battle settings and disabled units) and ability to pick and vote for preset.

Myg - yes it's planned along with presets. There will be option to switch to certain preset when map changes.

Licho: It says 'you are not allowed to use !start' or something along those lines, something about rights i believe.

Well rights are your business :) Server owner must setup rights..

In options, you can assign rights level to each command.

there needs to be a command to set the starts to fixed, otherwise 3 player games don't really work.

yeah it's the "presets" thing. It's planed for next upgrade.
Host can change it, but with presets all people will gain ability to vote or change battle settings preset.
