<[Evo]Forboding_Angel> tbh we really need windowed fullscreen
<[2up]knorke> we have?
<[Evo]Forboding_Angel> how to use it?

springsettings.cfg wrote:Fullscreen = 0
WindowPosX = 0
WindowPosY = 0
WindowState = 0
XResolution = 0
YResolution = 0
WindowBorderless = 1
Thought it might be interessting for others too.
0 = had this at "=2" but I guess it acutally is supposed to be 0. Just with "=1" the window is not centered correctly.
If you are wondering:
With spring in fullscreen it can be a bit unfunny to alt tab between Spring and other things. With windowed mode you have window bar at top and taskbar at bottom taking away some space and can accidently the whole game by clicking X.
With this it looks like fullscreen but alt tabs like windowed.

/edit
meh, there was already a thread about excactly this:

Anyway, its working.

Double-screen array, then make window twice as wide, i guess that'd work :P

Sorry, I mean I don't want dualscreen mode but I would like that spring start on my secondary screen and not the primary.

Because with windowborderless=1 i cant move the window to the secondary screen.

Can't you alt-drag the window?

Why isn't it available in settings?

Next we just need to be rid of the bug where alt-tabbing leaves the alt-key stuck in Spring.

well windowed full screen should not have that, but yes I agree, that is a silly bug.

When I set WindowState = 0 it resets itself back to 1. springsettings.cfg changes itself when spring starts such that WindowState = 1.

Not itself ... YOU MAXIMIZE THE WINDOW:
0 = floating window
1 = maximized
2 = minimized (was removed after some trouble and on user request)

If I don't touch the window WindowState removes itself from springsettings.

Spring now doesn't save defaults anymore since 83 ...

I don't think you understood. I Added "WindowState = 0" to springsettings.cfg, started spring.exe and clicked Quit. The WindowState line is no longer in springsettings.cfg.

You didn't understood. Defaults are NOT saved! No matter what!

Spring finds a default value in your config -> it will not save it when rewriting the config.

advantages:
1. we can change the default values w/o having to overwrite user values
2. you can use multiple config files and merge their settings

Great!

The only problem I have with it is I'm using a dual monitor setup and I can't use the mouse to scroll on the side where it crosses to the second screen.

I'd be interested to know if there is a way to keep the mouse pointer on the spring window until you alt+tab or hit the windows button the K/B.
