The feature list for Mumble speaks for itself, if you didn't use it and the Speex codec hadn't already told you the story. The support for positional audio is mature, the codec offers better quality at lower bitrates. The client offers more options for skinning than the competitors, and the overlay is the cleanest of the lot. Other features like scaling other audio sources when people speak are well supported and, unlike TS3 or TT, Mumble is patched regularly.

TS3 is really aimed at enterprise use, and accordingly the best supported feature turns out to be the classic conference call. The client uses marginally less memory, and the server is simpler to run. The basic license provides you with thirty two slots.

Ventrilo offers audio on par with Mumble but is ugly, you only get eight slots for free, and the overlay is rubbish.

To me it seems that http://mumble.springrts.com is broken in terms of trying to trying to retrieve a lost password. My current mumble allows me to connect automatically but I want to log onto another device. Is there another way to find/reset the password?

I did search the forum, wiki and internet. I did ask in #sy and other places where some ppl came together. This thread is the only and at the same time the most current mumble-server thread I could find.

Since there was a big tidy up in channels, I would like to request to get the LOeT-channel back. To keep things tidy, a parent-channel "clans" might be a good idea.

Thanks in advance to whoever feels responsible :)

Reminds me:
"BA" as main category is missing also (as is XTA, Tech Annihilation and probably a few others ). If whoever is admin is adding "clans", would be great to add this, too :-)
