the problem is 94.1.1-566-gde95c20 draws/renders the flare part of any model used a missilelauncher or starburst type weapon, which is hidden in 94.1 or lower version

To be more specific it now draws all pieces of any projectile model and this is intentional to allow arbitrarily complex models to be used.

Fix: go into your favorite model editor and hide/removed the unwanted projectile pieces.
